I wanted to take a moment and speak to you about something really important. Your habits. Habits are our behavioral autopilot. They shape much of our lives, both good and bad.

Bad habits might be cutting people off mid-sentence, texting while driving or biting your fingernails. Good habits include brushing your teeth before bed, putting your keys in the same place, so you don’t lose them or having a daily checklist to keep you organized.

Your habits really got you where you are today. That means your habits MUST be changed if you want to change. Now, before you get ahead of yourself and start changing everything in your life, I want to offer a word of caution.

Start slowly with just change at a time.

Let me explain. Research shows that it takes several weeks of strict adherence to form a habit. Biting off too much change at once can lead to burn out, frustration and failure. I have seen it happen time and time again with transformation challenges and quick fix, fad diets. More often than not this results in the familiar weight loss, weight gain rollercoaster. No thank you!

I have worked with hundreds of people and seen AMAZING transformations that started with one simple step like drinking more water or adding adequate protein to their diet. We are seeking a total transformation by mastering one small success, then using that momentum and motivation to change another habit. The result: a snowball effect which will drive you towards a fitter, healthier, happier you.

What is one small thing you can begin changing today? I’d love to hear about it so comment below and let me know.
